NAME
     mt - tape interface

DESCRIPTION
     The files dev/rct8 and dev/rct12 refer to cartridge tape controllers
     (CTC). The files dev/rmt8 and dev/rmt12 refer to 9-track tape
     controllers.  The rct8 and rmt8 controllers rewind on close; The rct12
     and rmt12 do not.
