NAME
     gpr_$release_display - decrements a counter associated with the number of
     times a display has been acquired.

FORMAT
     gpr_$release_display (status)

DESCRIPTION
     This routine decrements a counter associated with the number of times a
     display has been acquired.  gpr_$release_display decrements a counter
     whose value reflects the number of times the display has been acquired.
     If the counter value reaches zero, the routine releases the display,
     allowing other processes, including the Display Manager, to use the
     display.

   Output Parameters
     status
          Completion status, in status_$t format.

NOTES
     Programs   that   call   gpr_$event_wait   may   not   need    to    call
     gpr_$release_display,  since  gpr_$event_wait releases the display impli-
     citly whenever the process waits for input.
