NAME
     sync - update super-block

USAGE
     void sync()

DESCRIPTION
     The sync system call force writes information in memory to
     disk.

     The sync operation is not actually necessary on DOMAIN
     hardware, because the system buffers are automatically writ-
     ten to disk at shutdown.  We provide it in the interest of
     ensuring compatibility with other implementations.
