HELP(1) DOMAIN/IX SYS5 HELP(1)
NAME
help - ask for SCCS help
USAGE
help [ arguments ]
DESCRIPTION
Help finds information to explain the use of, or a particu-
lar message from, an SCCS command.
The arguments may be either message numbers (which normally
appear in parentheses following messages), or command names,
or one of the following types:
type 1 Begins with non-numerics, ends in numer-
ics. The non-numeric prefix is usually
an abbreviation for the program or set
of routines that produced the message.
For example, ge3 means message 3 from
the get(1) command.
type 2 Does not contain numerics, i.e., appears
as a command name such as the name get.
type 3 Is all numeric, e.g., 26.
When all else fails, try help stuck.
