NAME
crpty − create psuedo tty device entries

DESCRIPTION
Crpty creates the pairs of device entries that are used by the pseudo terminal driver; see pty(4). Crpty creates device pairs /dev/ptyp[0-f] and /dev/ttyp[0-f]. Crpty takes one argument: the number of pty entries to create. The maximum number of entries allowed is 16.
The number of psuedo-terminal device pairs created controls the number of concurrent accesses by rlogin and telnet to an individual node.
EXAMPLE
crpty 2
creates /dev/ptyp0, /dev/ttyp0, and /dev/ptyp1, /dev/ttyp1.
