LOGIN -- Logging in to a local or remote node 83/08/15

There are two different types of login operations that you may perform.
The first is logging in to a local node: a Display Manager operation.
This is what you do when your node displays the "Please log in: " prompt
  in the DM input window.

For information on how to log in to a local node, type:

    - HELP L

Once you are logged in to a local node, you may further log in to a
particular process (running in some window), presumably with a different
user identity. This is a Shell operation, and requires the use of the
  LOGIN protected subsystem.

For information on how to log in to a window, type:

    - HELP LOGIN WINDOW
